News: Four New Artists Join Rico

Rico are proud to announce four new additions to the ever growing family of Rico endorsees.

With a vast group of musicians; soloists, quartets, saxophonists, clarinettists, choosing to use Rico, we are overjoyed when new endorsees join us, and these four are no exception…

Victoria Soames Samek’s eastern European heritage makes her one of the most exciting and versatile clarinettists playing in the UK today. She performs with natural flare and freshness on both the clarinet and the bass clarinet, engaging her audiences in each and every performance. With her great enthusiasm she launched the CD label Clarinet Classics in 1992, which has quickly established itself as a unique showcase for the clarinet in all its richness and diversity. Jeffrey Wilson is one of the country’s foremost composers and educators in music, equally in the home in serious classical as well as jazz and improvised music. It is as a teacher that Jeffery finds great fulfilment and numbers among his students some prominent professionals, composers and improvisers from Universities and Conservatoire in the UK. Christian Brewer is one of the most lyrical and soulful alto sax players to have emerged from the UK in recent years. Loved for his melodic playing and pure tone, Christian has risen to prominence on the British jazz scene. He is now a regular at London's prestigious Ronnie Scotts and both he and his band are in great demand. Christian chooses to play Rico Jazz Select reeds. Julian Arguelles began his career as a musician at the age of fourteen touring throughout Europe with the European Community Big Band. Quickly he gained recognition as an original musician and joined the much acclaimed 21 piece UK big band "Loose Tubes". Despite being very busy performing he maintains a commitment to teaching and has been invited to teach at various places including The Royal Academy of Music, Trinity College of Music and Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
